Vishvas Bal Ashrams

Vishvas Bal Ashrams are a “Home” for orphan, destitute children. These orphanages have been established with the blessings & guidance of Gurudev Shri Swami Vishvas Ji, to help such children grow up and lead a dignified self-reliant life. These orphanages are the loving abodes for the little orphan boys aged 3 to 10 where they are brought up with utmost love and care. Free Education, boarding and lodging as well as a loving up-bringing is provided in these homes. Presently Vishvas Foundation is running two orphanages:-

1. Shahabad (M), District- Kurukshetra (Haryana)
2. Aligarh (U.P.)

The major objectives of Vishvas Bal Ashram are:

• To establish and maintain a “Home” for orphan, destitute and abandoned children irrespective of their caste, creed and sex, to provide them personal care, emotional security and proper education and training facilities for their complete rehabilitation.
• To Provide vocational training facilities for the youth including the children of the “Home” and other destitute/street children of the neighborhood for their eventual rehabilitation as employed/self employed members of the society.

Performance and activities

The strength of children in the two Vishvas Bal Ashrams is around 100. All children go to school. They are studying in different schools of the region. Even Vishvas bal Ashram Aligarh has an in-house school for its resident children. With a view to improving general knowledge, confidence and motivation of our children, interactive talks/discussions are organized for them.

Sports and co-curricular activities

Sports and co-curricular activities are given due emphasis in The Vishvas Bal Ashrams for overall development of children. There exists a very good grassy ground in the premises of the Ashram. In this ground the children of the Ashram play their outdoor games like Hockey, Football, Cricket, Badminton Kabaddi etc. Indoor games like Ludo, Snakes & Ladders, Chess and Carom Board etc. are also provided. The children of Vishvas Bal Ashram have also participated in the State level Hockey competition.

Educational/Adventure Trips

Vishvas Bal Ashram Children are regularly taken on Educational and Adventure trips. They went for a picnic to Panchkula/Chandigarh. They visited Rose Garden, Rose Garden and many other places of Chandigarh and Panchkula. Children of Vishvas Bal Ashram also went for two-day trip to Dagshai (H.P.) to attend children camp. They also went to Kasauli for one-day picnic.

Library

A very big library has also been established for the children of Vishvas Bal Ashrams. Near about 2000 books have been placed there.

Meditation and Yoga Activities

Children of Vishvas Bal Ashrams regularly perform Meditation and Yoga on daily basis within the premises of the Ashram in order to attain concentration, will power, peace of mind in their life. 10 children of Vishvas Bal ashram had been selected for the state level yoga competition held last year.

Entertainment

For recreation & entertainment purposes one set of coloured Television & V.C.R. has also been provided. Children are often shown movies and other spiritual and educational programme on TV.

Celebration of National Days/Festivals

In order to inculcate the spirit of patriotism and respect for all religions in the children, the Bal Ashrams celebrate all National Days and important festivals of India covering Independence Day, Republic Day, Guru Nanak's birthday, Diwali, Dusshera and Janamashtami. In addition other festivals like Lohri, Holi, Baisakhi and Rakhi are also celebrated by the children with great enthusiasm. Such cultural activities bring a lot of colour and gaiety into Vishvas Bal Ashram.

Birthday Celebrations

Towards further strengthening a feeling of family care and belongingness in children, the Bal Ashrams celebrate Birthdays of their children with cakes, candles, balloons, music, dances, fun and frolic followed by a special party.
