मैं तां सोच सोच के हारा, तेरियां तू जाण मालका

तेरियां तू जाण मालका, तेरी तू जाण मालका

The holy voice of Gurudev Shri Swami Vishvas Ji goes deep into our hearts that the more we think, the more we go away from Reality, Truth.  It is only you who know, knower, knowledge and known are one.  Witnesser, witness and witnessing are one.  There is nothing but He which is a very big mystery.  A poet wrote, “I boasted among men that I had known you (Him).  They see your pictures in all works of mine.  They come and ask me ‘Who is he? “I know not how to answer to them. I say, “Indeed, I cannot tell”. They blame me and they go in scorn.  And you sit there smiling.”

This life is really an illusion, a mirage.  It comes from an invisible rain and it falls into no recognisible sea meaning that it is a mystery.  Another spiritual master remarked, “Life is a master novel written by God and man would go crazy if he tried to understand by reason alone”.

है यह दुनिया एक पतंग, नित्य बदले यह रंग

न जाने उड़ाने वाला कौन है

This world (Life) is like a kite which moves up and down and changes its flight now and then.  It is not known who is moving this world.  Our existence is a manifestation of the mercy of some UNKNOWN with which we have nothing to do.  Ours is a leasehold existence which can be terminated without any notice at any time irrespective of age – young or old, child or adult.  It casts a spell of gloom and doom but REALITY cannot be dull, dead and dreary.  There is sweetness in air, warmth in sunshine and fragrance in flowers.  The peaceful visions of rising and setting Sun, moon lit nights and shareless seas remind us of He who is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent.

There is only one Reality, one Divinity which never changes whereas everything in this world changes.  The only permanent thing in this world is change.  Self in each of us is Brahmn.  Self only exists – no birth or death, nor pain nor misery, nor good nor bad.  All is Brahmn.  The mystery is that we take rope for serpent, “the error is ours.  We all know that we are but not what we are.  Are we only the combination of few molecules to be disintegrated sooner or later or are we all Existent, All Knowledge and All Bliss.  Swami Vivekanand Ji Says, “All lower explanations are partial truths but the flower, the essence of Vedas is that the Self in each of us is Brahmn”.  “I am He, there is not the least doubt it”.

मैं और मेरा यार एक ही बस्ती में बसते हैं

किस्मत की क्या खूबी है, कि दर्शन को तरसते हैं

I and my Beloved live in the innermost shrine but crave for each other’s company. “I am beyond the senses”.  I am beyond knowledge and Bliss”. Swami Ji asked us to throw arguments, throw philosophy into ditch.  “Only a slave can see slaves, the deluded, delusion and the impure, impurity.

अपनी न की पहचान, बड़ी भूल ये हुई

बरसों किये ख़राब, खुदा तलाश में हमने

We made a big blunder of not recognizing our own selves and wasted years and years in search of some Unknown.  This is the mystery.  All the scriptures and saints proclaims with one voice that Self is not sitting in seventh heaven.  He is within all of us – nay He and we are one.  It is the Mind which stands between us and Self.

Our own true Self is hidden under a long endless terrain of thoughts. In the absence of thoughts, we come face to face with one hidden under thoughts.  Thoughtlessness removes the covering and we come face to face with the Reality.  There is a clear blue sky within all of us.  When the clouds of thoughts disappear, the clear blue sky appears and then we have the vision of Reality.

That vision can be attained through persistent and regular Vishvas Meditation which is very simple and natural and does not involve any strenuous effort.  We do not have to do anything but watching and watching anything or everything happening within the mind.  Watching is a sword, you will be cut off.  Thoughts will diminish and disappear and a bit of mystery will be resolved but if you discontinue meditation, you will be plunged into gloom and doom.  It is impossible to find the solution of mystery outside ourselves.  Our own soul contributes all the divinity that is outside us.  We are the greatest temple.  The objectification is the only a faint imitation of what we see within ourselves.

We must not spend our energy in talking and arguing but we must meditate in silence and must not let the rush of outside world disturb us.  We must accumulate power in silence and become a power of spirituality.  Then we would realize that we are king of Kings whereas mind makes us beggars begging with a begging bowl at the doors of gods and goddesses.  Our own kingdom and mastership over mind can be attained only in meditation.

Meditation is not a means to an end.  It is an end in itself.  The meditator does not desire anything – heaven or freedom or God or even Meditation.  He is ever peaceful and blissful.  He will not in his prayers recall that he is chastised at all.  In adverse circumstances, he does not merely endure but is unattached.  There is the story of a bull.  A mosquito sat long on the horn of a bull. Then his conscience troubled him and he said, “Mr. Bull, I have been sitting a long time, perhaps I annoy you.  I am sorry, I will go away”.  “Oh no, not at all. Bring your whole family and live on my horn.  What can you do to me?
